Gustavo Chamorro, Ed.D., is a native of Nicaragua with over 20 years of experience working in career education and economic and workforce development. Most recently, Gustavo served as the Orange County Director of the Los Angeles and Orange County Regional Consortium (LAOCRC), where he managed the multi-million dollar, regional Strong Workforce Program marketing project and worked in partnership with career education leaders and community stakeholders to design and implement strategies to promote career education at Orange County’s 10 community colleges. Prior to his role with the LAOCRC, he served as the Deputy Sector Navigator for the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)/Digital Media Initiative funded by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
Gustavo holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a master’s and bachelor’s in business administration from California State University, San Bernardino, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his leadership and commitment to educational issues.
