Miguel Orozco is a writer-producer with a background in government. Miguel started his career in Washington, DC, as a U.S. Senate staffer and held management positions at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the National Office of Job Corps. Miguel was selected to the prestigious NALIP Writer’s Lab with his feature film, Mixteco Kid.

In addition to film production, Miguel launched ÁNIMO, a nonprofit theatre company, to produce plays to increase awareness of diverse communities. Miguel holds a master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and in 2019 completed his MFA in creative writing from Mount Saint Mary’s University.
